Machine learning, the future of new Technology
The future of predicting and analyzing the data
Well, machine learning, the term explains by the name itself, i.e. learning by the machine.
In fact, it is true that machine learning is the subset of Artificial Intelligence in which machine (in fact our computer) can learn by itself by feeding the data to it without explicitly programming by others, unlike other traditional programming languages. By traditional programming means that there we give input and there will be the function that will process the input and provides us our desired output. On the other hand, in machine learning, the input and the desired output often called as ‘labels’ have to be fed to it so that it can be trained well to predict any data.
Machine learning is the hottest topic in today’s era. Though the concept of machine learning is not new, the concept was coined in the 1950’s but now it is trending and every sector wants to implement ML. Why then?
Well, I just want to highlight the two main things for this question. First thing is that, during earlier days, there were few data and for machine learning to predict the data it must have sufficient and true data which was a major cause that machine learning was still on the pending list. Now, as per one report, until 2005 A.D. human has created 130 Exabytes of Data and it is estimated that until 2020 the total data produced by us will be 40,900 Exabytes. Oh my God, just think about this. Just think how much data we(humans) have created for a decade. Now thanks to these data, machine can learn from these data and now can predict the data giving the right amount of accuracy in realtime.
Hereby the data, I mean anything from books, songs, audios, documents, and so on.
Second reason why it became so much popular today is no doubt, the high-end processing power of today’s computer. The computer now has huge storage capacity and the processing power has been growing tremendously so that it can feed all the huge data and can predict and analyze it.
No matter now every company wants to use this technology and every company is moving towards it as well. This will make human civilization more easy and comfortable and the main thing it is also the backbone of Artificial Intelligence, another hot topic of the 21st century.
